If you have a smartphone, Samsung Galaxy SIII, the HTC  Desire, etc. and have purchased Distant Suns from the Amazon app store note, that it has only been tested and certified on the Kindle Fire and the Barnes & Noble NOOK. Distant Suns 3 and the “new” iPad

For those who have just received or are expecting their little bundles of iPad 3 joy, Distant Suns 3 works very well on it except for one toolbar button that is the wrong size, and some text on the Whats Up? that needs a little bit of tweaking. Those fixes should be sent to Apple in the next couple of days. Other than those, it looks really great, hard now to even go back and look at the ‘2.

Distant Suns and Grand Tour before it have made use of “cloud servers” over the past many years to layer current weather patterns on the model of the earth. Unfortunately, the cloud service is no longer providing imagery for free, as only paid subscribers may obtain the imagery.
