If you are experiencing any problems with Distant Suns 3.2 after upgrading, particularly if it is unable to launch properly, this could be a corrupted download from the Appstore that can hit any app. Delete Distant Suns 3.2 from your device and try reinstalling directly from the Appstore and see if that takes care of things. Wazzup with the “twilight planner” missing on the iPad 2?

The story with that is there seems to be a bug in the iPad 2 camera support which totally screws up the screen when orientation is changed. Apple wants a working demo to show them and that would take a day or so to get running. An extra day I didn’t have, so for 3.2.0 I opted to just suspend that feature until Apple (or I if it is pilot error) can track it down. Works fine on the iPhone/iPod but not on the iPad. Sigh.

Lunar Eclipse this evening/morning

The first total lunar eclipse in nearly two years happens tomorrow UTC, or late tonight in the most favorable location of the US West Coast, but all of the US and Central America. Europe will see the beginning, with totality right around moonset. Could make some beautiful photos with local landscapes in the foreground. A lot of news outlets are making a big deal that this is the lunar eclipse on the Winter solstice in about 4 bazillion years....
