Distant Suns for the NOOK and Kindle Fire released

Now it can be told. We here at Distant Suns World Headquarters for Intergalactic Mischief can now proudly announce the release of Distant Suns for both the Barnes & Noble NOOK Color and the NOOK Tablet, as well as Amazon’s Kindle Fire. It has many of the  fine features of Distant Suns for iOS, such as:

  • Displays the evening’s sky with over 130,000 stars
  • Change the date and time to show the sky of the past or future, like having a time-machine in your hands
  • Follow the moon through its phases, and the planets through their monthly dance
  • Contains over 200 galaxies, nebula and star clusters, many within reach of binoculars
  • Learn the stories behind each constellation
  • See the realistic ghostly band of the Milky Way
  • Toggle between a label-rich sky and a serene view of the stars alone
  • View smoothly rotates around the horizon every 2 minutes
  • Set your location from any place on earth

More devices will be added in the near future. So stay tuned! And of course, as always, celebrate in moderation.
